The Digital Friendships report states that over 77% of children between 8-17 years old want their parents and carers to help with any worries they experience online.

Why not come along to the Friends of Melrose Primary School informal Safer Internet Day session for parents and carers on Wednesday, 6th February 2019 from 7pm to 8pm to find out more?

Melrose Primary School is celebrating Safer Internet Day on 5th February, 2019 along with many other schools around the world focusing on the theme of: Together for a better internet.

The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.  This year in the UK, Safer Internet Day will focus on how consent works in an online context and will ask young people to explore how they ask, give, and receive consent online. This could be in their friendships or relationships, how they take and share images and videos or how they manage their privacy and data.

During the informal session we will briefly learn about the topics discussed during school classes the previous day followed by an open forum discussion.

Best regards,
